Intradermal tumour, tubular strands and cysts in a fibrous stroma, two layers of cuboidal cells, small papillary projections on surface of these cells, sometimes apocrine secretion, Dermal well circumscribed nonencapsulated tumor with broad borders
pushing into subcutaneous fat
– Epidermal connection can be present
– Solid cellular tumor areas with cystic
spaces and ductal structures
– Two cell population of larger cells with
clear and smaller cells with darker
cytoplasm
– Sometimes a single cell population will
predominate
– Stroma is often vascular and hyalinized
– Tumor can frequently show squamatization and/or mucinous changes
– Ductal structures frequently seen
– Focal spindle cell epithelial cells can
be seen
